Vakula Devi (Reincarnation of Yashoda): In Dwapara Yuga, Krishna’s foster mother Yashoda lamented that she could not witness his wedding. To fulfill her wish, Krishna promised to be born to her again. Thus, Yashoda was reborn as Vakula Devi in Kali Yuga, acting as the mother of Srinivasa and overseeing his grand marriage.
The Vedavati Connection: During Treta Yuga, a lady named Vedavati took the place of Sita during the abduction by Ravana. Pleased with her sacrifice, Lord Rama promised to marry her in a future age. Vedavati was reborn as Princess Padmavati, and Lord Srinivasa married her to fulfill that ancient divine promise.

Death: While he stays as a statue for his devotees, his spiritual essence remains in Vaikuntam. There is no concept of a "funeral" or "death" in his history; there is only Antardhanam (disappearing from physical view) and manifestation in stone.
Biography:
1. Departure from Vaikuntam: After Sage Bhrigu insulted Lord Vishnu by kicking his chest, Goddess Lakshmi left Vaikuntam in anger and descended to Earth (Kolhapur). Grief-stricken, Lord Vishnu also came to Earth searching for her and resided in an anthill on the Seshachalam hills.
2. Manifestation as Srinivasa: While he was in the anthill, a cow used to offer him milk. When a cowherd tried to strike the cow, Lord Vishnu took the blow and was injured. He then found refuge in the ashram of Vakula Devi (the reincarnation of Yashoda). She named him 'Srinivasa' and cared for him like a mother.
3. Marriage with Padmavati: During a hunt, Srinivasa met Princess Padmavati, the daughter of King Akasa Raja, and they fell in love. To fulfill an ancient promise to Vedavati (Padmavati's previous form), Srinivasa married her. He famously borrowed a huge sum of wealth from Kubera to conduct the celestial wedding.
4. Self-Manifestation in Stone: After the wedding, when a symbolic conflict arose between Lakshmi and Padmavati regarding his presence, Srinivasa revealed his supreme form and turned into a Stone Deity (Archa Vigraha) to stay on Earth and protect humanity. Goddess Lakshmi and Goddess Padmavati took their permanent places on either side of his chest.
5. Protection of Kaliyuga Devotees: Srinivasa conveys to his devotees through this history is that—for the sake of his devotees and the protection of Dharma—he set aside his supreme divine state and manifested among us in the form of a sacred stone idol.
