Specialties: Lord Brahma is the creator of this universe and all living beings in it. That is why he is called 'Prajapati' or 'Lokapitamahu'. Lord Brahma has four faces. Festivals of Brahma: According to mythology, Lord Brahma is cursed and therefore does not have special tithis or weekly festivals. Kartika Purnima: A huge festival is held in Pushkar on this day. Thousands of devotees bathe in the Pushkar Lake and have darshan of Lord Brahma. This is the biggest festival related to him. Later, Lord Brahma himself comes to earth and performs the festivals for Lord Venkateswara, hence the name 'Brahmotsavam'. On the first day of these nine-day festivals, Lord Brahma is worshipped.
Birth Secret: According to the Puranas, Brahma was born in a lotus flower that emerged from the navel (belly) of Lord Vishnu. That is why he is also called 'Padmabhava' or 'Nabhijanjanam'. According to some other Puranas, he emerged from the Hiranyagarbha (golden egg) to create this universe.
